# Windows 10 22H2 Feature Pack Deployment

Deploy Windows 10 22H2 with Patch Manager Plus by verifying prerequisites, adding the correct ISO dependency to the patch store, and deploying the feature pack manually or through automated deployment.

> For users with **Windows 10, version 2004 and above**, it is only required to deploy the Enablement Package patches to upgrade to Windows 10, version 22H2.
## Steps to deploy Windows 10 22H2 update
### Prerequisites to deploy Windows 10 22H2 updates
1. Before deployment, run through the [Compatibility Check](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-specifications?howto) available towards the end of the page, to find if you meet all the minimum requirements that impact upgradeability.
2. Ensure that feature pack option is enabled under Patch database settings.
**In Endpoint Central:** Patch Mgmt → Settings → Patch Database Settings → click on the **Windows tab** and enable the **Feature Pack** option.
**In Patch Manager Plus:** Admin → Settings → Patch Database Settings → click on the **Windows tab** and enable the **Feature Pack** option.
3. Ensure that you have not declined the feature pack updates under **Decline Patches**.
### Downloading the dependency patch (ISO file) and adding/uploading
#### Windows 10 22H2 Enterprise Edition
Follow the steps below to download the ISO image:
1. Download Windows 10 22H2 ISO file from the [Volume Licensing Service Center](https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx) or by referring to [this page](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-client/deployment/iso-file-on-vlsc).
2. If you're using **Patch Manager Plus builds 10.1.2282.6 and above**:
- **Method 1:**
- Click on **Upload** near the *Download failed* error message
- In the pop-up window, browse and select the file to upload
- Choose between the **Checksum** types (MD5 and SHA256)

- Enter the checksum and wait for it to be validated
- Once validated, click on **Upload**
- Once the patch has been uploaded, it can be installed
- **Method 2:**
- Navigate to **Patches → Downloaded Patches** and search for the necessary patches
- Click on **Upload** (under Action)
- Once the upload window pops up, follow the steps mentioned above to upload the patches
3. If you're using **Endpoint Central builds 10.1.2282.6 and above**:
- **Method 1:**
- Click on **Upload** near the *Download failed* error message
- In the pop-up window, browse and select the file to upload
- Choose between the **Checksum** types (MD5 and SHA256)

- Enter the checksum and wait for it to be validated
- Once validated, click on **Upload**
- Once the patch has been uploaded, it can be installed
- **Method 2:**
- Navigate to **Patch Mgmt → Downloaded Patches**
- Click on **Upload** (under Action)
- Follow the same steps as above
If you're using **Patch Manager Plus builds below 10.1.2282.6 and Endpoint Central builds below 10.1.2282.6**:
1. Download the ISO file from the [Volume Licensing Service Center](https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx) or refer to [this page](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-client/deployment/iso-file-on-vlsc).
2. Navigate to the patch store:
- Endpoint Central: **Patch Management → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location**
- Patch Manager Plus: **Patches → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location**
- Vulnerability Manager Plus: **Patches → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location**
3. Copy the downloaded ISO file manually into the patch store directory and rename it as:
**Language-English:**
- 32 Bit: `110047-Win10_22H2_en_enterprisex32.iso`
- 64 Bit: `110043-Win10_22H2_en_enterprisex64.iso`
> **Note**
> The above naming convention is applicable only for Windows 10 22H2 Enterprise edition.

> To deploy Win 10 feature packs in more than one language, download and place each respective ISO file in the patch store.
#### Windows 10 22H2 Professional Edition
1. Download Windows 10 22H2 ISO file from the [Volume Licensing Service Center](https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx) or refer to [this page](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/troubleshoot/windows-client/deployment/iso-file-on-vlsc).
2. If you're using **Patch Manager Plus builds 10.1.2282.6 and above**:
- **Method 1:**

*Windows 10 22H2 ISO upload and checksum fields*
- **Method 2:**
Navigate to **Patches → Downloaded Patches** and use the **Upload** option.
3. If you're using **Endpoint Central builds 10.1.2282.6 and above**:
- Follow the same upload steps as above.
If using builds below 10.1.2282.6:
- Copy the ISO file to the patch store and rename as:
**Language-English:**
- 32 bit: `110045-Win10_22H2_enx32.iso`
- 64 bit: `110041-Win10_22H2_enx64.iso`
> **Note**
> The above naming convention applies to all Windows 10 22H2 editions except Enterprise.
#### Other Windows 10 22H2 Editions
- For automated ISO download (supported builds), search for Patch ID:
- **110045** (32-Bit)
- **110041** (64-Bit)
For manual download:
1. Download ISO from [Volume Licensing Service Center](https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/2472143/download-and-burn-an-iso-file-on-the-volume-licensing-site-vlsc) or [Microsoft Download](https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10).
2. Navigate to **Patch Management → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location**
3. Rename ISO file:
**Language - English**
- 32 Bit: `110045-Win10_22H2_enx32.iso`
- 64 Bit: `110041-Win10_22H2_enx64.iso`
> **Note**
> The above naming convention is not applicable for Enterprise edition.
### Deploy the Windows 10 version 22H2 updates
#### Manual deployment
**For users below Windows 10, version 2004**
1. Navigate to **Missing Patches**.
2. Choose the feature pack patches to deploy.
**Patch ID details:**
- 110048 - Enterprise - 32 Bit
- 110044 - Enterprise - 64 Bit
- 110046 - Other Editions - 32 Bit
- 110042 - Other Editions - 64 Bit
> **Note**
> For Windows 10 20H2 / 21H1 / 21H2 versions deploy:
> 110037 (x86)
> 110036 (x64)
Click **Install Patch**.
**For users above Windows 10, version 2004**
1. Navigate to **Patches → Missing Patches**
2. Filter: **Patch Type = Feature Packs**
3. Select feature updates
4. Click **Install Patches**

#### Automated Deployment
1. While creating an APD task, select the **feature pack** checkbox.
2. Once the dependency patch is stored in the Patch Store, Feature Packs will deploy during the scheduled window.
