KEKST CNC operates 14 offices worldwide, including one in Munich, Germany. This hub identified a demand for expert communication counsel within the automotive industry.
To meet industry standards and client expectations, KEKST CNC needed to obtain the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) certification. It is an assessment developed by the German Association of the Automotive industry (VDA) that concerns data protection compliance with the GDPR for the automotive industry. This certification confirms that a company's information and security management system complies with their defined security levels and allows sharing of assessment results across a designated platform.
Given Germany is home to many original equipment manufacturers who require their partners to be secure and reliable, obtaining TISAX certification is a critical priority.
One of the key requirements of this certification is to implement a solution capable of collecting logs and auditing all network resources within an organization's infrastructure.

KEKST CNC reached out to multiple compliance-focused agencies across Germany. All fingers pointed to ManageEngine ADAudit Plus as the ideal solution. Without delay, KEKST CNC adopted ADAudit Plus--its first centralized log collection and auditing tool.
The German office managed 15 domain controllers and multiple file servers, each with approximately nine shared folders..Once configured, ADAudit Plus instantly populated the reports to help KEKST CNC audit all changes made to its Active Directory environment.
In addition to fulfilling its primary requirement, KEKST CNC was highly impressed with the out-of-the box reports provided in the solution, such as those for users who have changed their password or whose systems are disabled. These reports ensured that they had complete visibility into their infrastructure.
Although the installation and configuration of ADAudit Plus were straightforward, KEKST CNC encountered an issue: due to its internal security policies, the solution was denied the permission to collect logs and the IT team was unable to resolve it. This obstacle posed a serious risk to achieving TISAX certification.
To overcome it, KEKST CNC worked with OnboardPro, ManageEngine’s professional implementation service.
Over hours of technical conversations, the OnboardPro implementation manager identified the root cause. ADAudit Plus requires specific audit policies enabled to collect and generate reports. Although the correct GPO and audit policies were configured, the applied settings were overwritten by another GPO with higher precedence.
The configuration was corrected by applying the audit policies to the GPO with the highest precedence. Instantly, ADAudit Plus began collecting logs and generated reports successfully.
