# Personalize Web Client

You can customize the Applications Manager web client as per your convenience by selecting the **Personalize Web Client** option from the **Settings** tab. You can perform the required customizations to the Applications Manager web client by navigating to the following tabs and clicking **Apply** to implement the changes. Following are the list of tabs shown in the **Personalize Web Client** window:

## Web Client

The **Web Client** tab opens by default in the **Personalize Web Client** window. Settings are grouped under **Appearance** and **General**. Unless otherwise noted, these settings apply to your user account.

- **Theme:** Select a theme to preview how the selected tab appears in the chosen color for your Applications Manager web client. The available themes are **Grey, Blue, Green, Brown, Orange**, and **Red**.

  **Note:** The **White** theme has been removed, and users who had selected it will be moved to **Grey** after upgrading. New installations use **Green** as the default theme. Upgraded installations retain **Grey** for users who have not selected a theme.

- **Header Logo:** Enable the **Use custom header logo** option and upload the logo file to update your company logo directly to the header of Applications Manager web client. - **Session Timeout (available from Applications Manager v182900):** Set the idle session timeout for your account to 1 to 120 minutes, or select **Never expires** to keep the session active until you log out. The default server timeout is 20 minutes. The Session Timeout setting is not available in the Applications Manager plug-in.

  If you have not configured a user-level timeout, the server-level timeout applies. To change the default server-level timeout for users who have not configured their own value, update the **`session-timeout`** value in `<Applications Manager Home>/working/apache/tomcat/conf/web.xml`. - **Auto-refresh time interval:** Set the time interval as to how often the web client pages should be refreshed automatically. The default interval is 5 minutes, and the allowed range is 1 to 120 minutes.

- **Language Selection:** Choose the display language from the searchable dropdown to change the language of the contents shown in Applications Manager web client. Each language appears in its own language, followed by its name in the current language in parentheses, **for example**, *Deutsch (German)*. Supported languages are **English, German, French, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Hungarian, Japanese, Russian**, and **Vietnamese**. By default, **English** is selected as the display language.

- **Set as default language for all users** allows the Super Admin to set the selected language as the default for all existing users and new users.

## Customize Tabs

This tab allows you to customize the order of tabs with which it should be displayed in Applications Manager web client. You can rearrange the order in which the tabs are displayed as well as select new tabs for displaying. All you have to do is to select the necessary tab options from the respective drop-down boxes and click the **Save** button. However, if you want to remove a tab, you can choose the **Not Selected** option from the drop-down box against the necessary tab order. The screenshot shows the following tab order: **Home, Monitors, Cloud, APM, AppLogs, User Experience, Alarms, Maps, Settings,** and **Reports**.

## Login Page

This tab allows you to perform login page customization in Applications Manager. Following are the options available under the **Login Page Customization** section:

- **Background Image:** You can use default images with dark and light backgrounds or can upload your own background image.
- **Gradients:** Users can select any of the given gradient colors as the background for the login page.
- **Advanced Settings:** This setting allows you to show/hide links, banner images, and announcements on the login page. Also, advanced settings offers you two more options as follows:
  1. **Set default domain directory:** Helps to select Default domain (Active Directory) in APM login page.
  2. **Set login page message:** To show custom message in APM login page.
