LDAP Monitoring

Monitor LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol Server)

Applications Manager provides in-depth availability and performance monitoring of LDAP server. Monitoring of LDAP server becomes critical since most organizations depend on LDAP server. Using LDAP monitor, you can monitor the amount of time taken for a user to log into to a domain. By monitoring these login time, response time and availability, it allows you to ensure whether the LDAP server is up and running. When a certain threshold is breached, you are informed quickly via email/SMS and thus helping you to troubleshoot issues quickly.

LDAP Monitoring Capabilities

Some of the key components that are monitored in LDAP:

Login Details Time taken for a user to log into a domain through LDAP server.
Search Details The time taken for a search to execute and total response time. The total response time is the login time plus time taken for a search in LDAP server.
Search Results Details This metric contains Search Result Row Count which displays the total rows returned after a search was executed and Search Result Matching which displays whether it was a success or a failure.

  • Monitors performance statistics such as availability and response time.
  • Based on the thresholds configured, notifications and alarms are generated if the LDAP server or any specified attribute within the system has problems. Actions are executed automatically based on configurations.
  • Performance graphs and reports are available instantly. Reports can be grouped and displayed based on availability, health, and connection time.
