MDM - GCM Authentication Failed

Problem

End user is trying to enroll a mobile device and he gets the error message "GCM Authentication Failed"

Cause

One of the possible reasons might be that the end user would have changed the google account password after adding the account in the device. So the authentication would have failed during enrollment.

Resolution

End user has to verify, if the given user name and password for the google account is correct. In case the end user is unaware of the process, you can instruct the end user to navigate to the following location and provide his account information. Settings > Account & Sync > Add Account and then retry the enrollment process. You can also recommend him to try logging into his google account and validate his credentials before using it again in the device.
