Steps to configure SAML SSO for Insightly

About Insightly

Insightly is a CRM platform designed to help businesses manage their customer interactions, sales processes, and projects. It provides tools for tracking leads, managing contacts, and automating marketing campaigns.

The following steps will help you enable SSO for Insightly from Identity360.

Prerequisites

1. The MFA and SSO license for Identity360 is required to enable SSO for enterprise applications.
2. Log in to Identity360 as an Admin, Super Admin, or Technician with a role that has Application Integration and Single Sign-on permissions.
3. Navigate to Applications > Application Integration > Create New Application, and select Insightly from the applications displayed.
   Note: You can also find Insightly using the search bar located at the top.
4. Under the General Settings tab, enter the Application Name and Description.
5. Under the Choose Capabilities tab, choose SSO and click Continue.

6. Under Integration Settings, navigate to the Single Sign On tab and click Metadata Details. Download the Metadata and Signing Certificate, which will be used during the configuration of Insightly.

Insightly (service provider) configuration steps

1. Log in to Insightly as an administrator.
2. Click the profile icon at the top-right corner, and then click System Settings.

3. On the System Settings page, click the SAML and SCIM tab.

4. Check the Enable SAML Sign-on box if you are configuring SSO for the first time.

5. Upload the Signing Certificate downloaded in step 6 of the prerequisites in the Verification Certificate field.
6. Upload the Metadata downloaded in step 6 of the prerequisites in the Upload Metadata field.
7. Check the Enforce SAML Login box if you want SSO to be the sole login and authentication method.
   Note: If SAML is enforced, even the Super Admin cannot log in using a password in the case of any SSO issues.

8. Copy the Sign-in page URL. This will be used for adding the Instance POD and Instance ID values during Identity360 configuration. For example: https://crm.[INSTANCE_POD].insightly.com/user/saml?instanceId=[INSTANCE_ID]

9. Click Save.

Identity360 (identity provider) configuration steps

1. Switch to Identity360's application configuration page.
2. Enter the Instance POD value copied from the Sign-in page URL in step 8 of the Insightly configuration steps. For example, if the Sign-in Page URL is https://crm.aaa.insightly.com/user/saml?instanceId=111111, then aaa is your Instance POD.
3. Enter the Instance ID value copied from the Sign-in page URL in step 8 of the Insightly configuration. For example, if the Sign-in Page URL is https://crm.aaa.insightly.com/user/saml?instanceId=1154873, then 1154873 is your Instance ID.
4. Click Save.

Your users will now be able to sign in to Insightly through the Identity360 portal.
