Does ManageEngine support iOS 27 on day one?

Apple previews the next generation of its operating systems at WWDC each June and releases a steady stream of developer and public betas through the summer. 1. Hardware report

Fleet-wide visibility into the health and authenticity of hardware on managed iPhone and iPad, straight from the device inventory — no separate agent, no manual inspection. Covers Baseband, Camera, Display, Face ID, NFC, Touch ID, and Ultra Wideband, with a color-coded status per device:

2. Collect AppleCare Logs

You get to run AppleCare diagnostics from your desk instead of from the device. Using the token on an AppleCare ticket, you start log collection remotely, and the collected logs are securely uploaded directly to Apple and associated with the customer's AppleCare support ticket.

From the console, admins can:

• Initiate AppleCare log collection remotely
• Track collection status
• Cancel pending log requests
• Monitor AppleCare log collection across the fleet through a dedicated report

3. Siri AI, Apple Intelligence & Visual Intelligence controls (DDM)

You get to decide how Apple's on-device AI behaves before your users ever see it. iOS 27 exposes these controls over the DDM channel — replacing the older MDM restriction keys Apple is retiring — so you can lock down the risky pieces at the device level and roll out the OS without governance gaps. For regulated environments, this is the difference between adopting iOS 27 on your terms and holding the whole fleet back.

The controls you now hold:

• Allow Siri AI — off stops Siri from generating AI-powered responses.
• Force Reduce Sensitive Content — on has Siri strip sensitive content from responses.
• Allow Natural Language Editing — off prevents rewriting/editing text with natural-language instructions.
• Allow Visual Intelligence — off blocks camera-based identify/search features.
• Live Recognition (Accessibility) — restrict the feature that scans surroundings and describes the live camera view.

In practice, you set policy once and it holds. Disable Allow Siri AI and enable Force Reduce Sensitive Content together, for instance, and an AI response can't surface patient data on a shared clinical iPad — applied proactively via DDM, not left to a check-in.

• Content Caching — turn a Mac into a local cache for Apple updates, apps, and iCloud data, and cut the bandwidth every other device pulls on release day.

tvOS

• Siri on Apple TV — switch Siri off entirely — remote, voice, and Settings — on shared or public displays.

5. Setup assistant: Language and region for zero-touch

You get zero-touch Macs and Apple TVs that come up correct the first time. Setup Assistant now guarantees a Language and Region are defined at activation even when the user skips those panes, and validation blocks invalid combinations (e.g., India + French) before they ship. Set it once in Device Activation Settings during ABM enrollment, and devices activate in the intended locale, so neither your users nor your team has to go back and fix localization after deployment.

1. Validate quietly. Keep production on deferral, upgrade a small test ring, and confirm your business-critical apps behave on iOS 27.
2. Set the guardrails first. Apply the Siri AI, Apple Intelligence, Visual Intelligence, and Live Recognition controls to the ring before you widen the upgrade.
3. Baseline your hardware. Run the Hardware Report across the fleet now — it's the cleanest "before" snapshot you'll get, and it flags any non-genuine units already in circulation.
4. Migrate legacy update enforcement to DDM if you haven't. This release is the practical cutoff.
5. Widen the upgrade once the ring is clean, and lean on Content Caching at larger sites to spare the network.
