Idle Interfaces

OpManager identifies inactive interfaces and moves them under Idle Interfaces, thereby maintaining the overall performance of the product. The interfaces that belong to any of the following criteria will be termed as Idle interfaces.

  • Interfaces that do not collect any data for the past 30 days.
  • Interfaces that collect 0 Bytes of data for the past 30 days.
  • Interfaces that are discovered with 0bps ifspeed.

The interfaces that fall under any of the above said criteria are automatically identified, marked as 'Unmanaged' and moved under 'Idle Interfaces'. The list of Idle Interfaces can be viewed at the bottom of the left pane under Inventory -> Interfaces. OpManager will move it back to the list of active/monitored interfaces if the ifSpeed property is updated either manually or during rediscovery.
