The Remote Collector is a lightweight, unified agent designed for deployment on low-spec machines. It functions as a Poller and integrates with OpManager to discover devices . The specific function for the Remote Poller is the Mini Poller functionality. The Mini Poller is designed to facilitate the discovery, monitoring, and reporting of device metrics from distributed or remote networks back to the OpManager's Probe and Essential server.

System Requirements (Mini Poller)

1. Prerequisites and Setup

Before setting up the Remote Collector (Mini Poller) in your enterprise environment, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

• HTTPS Requirement: Remote Collector works only when OpManager is running in HTTPS mode. Ensure your OpManager installation is HTTPS-enabled.
• Operating System: Remote Collector is supported only on a 64-bit OS.
• Permissions: Installations must be performed with Administrator/root privileges.
• Compatibility: Ensure your OpManager version matches the compatibility for the selected Remote Collector feature.
• Agent-type: For OpManager MSP, only the Mini Poller functionality will be enabled under Remote Collector.
