Steps to deploy Windows 10 1909 update
1. Prerequisites
- Before deployment, run through the Compatibility Check available under the Important Notes section to find if you meet all the minimum requirements that impact upgradeability.
- Ensure that the feature pack option is enabled under Patch database settings.
- In Patch Manager Plus: Patch Mgmt → Settings → Patch Database Settings → click on the Windows tab and enable the Feature Pack option.
- In Patch Manager Plus: Admin → Settings → Patch Database Settings → click on the Windows tab and enable the Feature Pack option.
- Ensure that you have not declined the feature pack updates under the decline patches section.
- Microsoft has recommended upgrading directly to the latest version, Windows 10 1909, from your existing version of Windows 10. You do not have to deploy any versions in between.
2. Download and add the dependency patch (ISO file) to the patch store
Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition
Follow the steps below to download the ISO image:
- Download the Windows 10 1909 ISO file from Volume Licensing Service Center.
- If you're using PMP Build Version 10.0.282 and above:
- You'll find an option to upload near the "Download failed" error message. Use Upload to install this patch.
- Otherwise, navigate to Patches → Downloaded Patches and search for the required patches. Once done, upload the patches via Upload Patches and click Install Patch.
- If you're using DC Build Version 10.0.319 and above:
- You'll find an option to upload near the "Download failed" error message. Use Upload to install this patch.
- Otherwise, navigate to Patch Mgmt → Patches → Downloaded Patches and search for the required patches. Once done, upload the patches via Upload Patches and click Install Patch.
If you're using PMP Build Version below 10.0.282 and DC Build Version below 10.0.319:
- Download the Windows 10 1909 ISO file from Volume Licensing Service Center.
- To find the patch store location in Patch Manager Plus, navigate to Patch Management → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location.
- To find the patch store location in Patch Manager Plus, navigate to Patches → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location.
- To find the patch store location in Patch Manager Plus, navigate to Patches → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location.
- Copy the downloaded ISO file manually into the patch store directory, and rename the ISO file as given below.
Language - English
- 32-bit: 107615-Win10_1909_en_enterprisex32.iso
- 64-bit: 107611-Win10_1909_en_enterprisex64.iso
The above naming convention is applicable only for the Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition.

Other Windows 10 1909 editions
For Endpoint Central build versions 10.0.429 and above
- Navigate to Patch Management → Patches → Supported Patches and search for Patch ID 107613 (32-bit) or 107609 (64-bit).
- Select the appropriate patch and click "Download Patches". This automatically downloads the appropriate ISO file.
- After downloading the patch, proceed to the feature pack deployment steps in the next section.
For Endpoint Central build versions 10.0.319 to 10.0.428
- ISO file download is automated in Endpoint Central build version 10.0.319 and above (except for the Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition). Follow the steps in the automatic ISO image download guide to enable this.
- After enabling this, proceed directly to the feature pack deployment step.
For Endpoint Central build versions below 10.0.319
- Download the Windows 10 1909 ISO file from Volume Licensing Service Center or from the Microsoft software download page.
- To find the patch store location, navigate to Patch Management → Downloaded Patches → Settings → Patch Repository Location.
- Copy the downloaded ISO file manually into the patch store directory, and rename the ISO file as given below.
Language - English
- 32-bit: 107613-Win10_1909_enx32.iso
- 64-bit: 107609-Win10_1909_enx64.iso
The above naming convention does not apply to the Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition. Patch Manager Plus supports the deployment of feature packs for multiple languages — see the language-wise ISO file name table below.
For Patch Manager Plus build version 10.0.545 and above
- Navigate to Patches → Supported Patches and search for Patch ID 107613 (32-bit) or 107609 (64-bit).
- Select the appropriate patch and click "Download Patches". This automatically downloads the appropriate ISO file.
- After downloading the patch, proceed to the feature pack deployment steps in the next section.
For Patch Manager Plus build versions 10.0.327 to 10.0.426
- ISO file download is automated in Patch Manager Plus build version 10.0.327 and above (except for the Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition). Follow the steps in the automatic ISO image download guide to enable this.

3. Deploy the Windows 10 1909 updates
Manual deployment
- In the server web console, navigate to the missing patches view.
- Choose the Windows 10 1909 feature pack patches you wish to deploy.
Patch ID details:
- 107616 - Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition - 32-bit
- 107612 - Windows 10 1909 Enterprise edition - 64-bit
- 107614 - Other Windows 10 1909 editions - 32-bit
- 107610 - Other Windows 10 1909 editions - 64-bit
Click Install Patch to deploy them.
Automated deployment
- To create an APD task for deploying feature packs, make sure to select the feature pack checkbox while defining the patch task.
- Once the dependency patch is downloaded and stored in the patch store, feature packs will be successfully deployed to the target computers during the subsequent deployment window. A separate configuration can be created for a particular patch on demand.
