INSPIRE found itself exposed to cyber risks within the organization. It was especially concerned about the abnormal activities of its own users. To add to this, INSPIRE faced challenges in auditing its network and generating reports for its compliance requirements. It eventually realized that with the help of a comprehensive auditing tool, all of these requirements would be easily solved.
Chang Geun Kim, cybersecurity analyst at INSPIRE, introduced ManageEngine ADAudit Plus, a real-time change auditing and user behavior analytics (UBA) solution, to his team of analysts. ADAudit Plus was already being used in Mohegan, which holds seven top-tier resorts all over the world, raising the team's trust and expectations a step higher.

INSPIRE was right about choosing ADAudit Plus. With its preconfigured reports for auditing file servers, member servers, and workstations, ADAudit Plus solved all of the company's auditing requirements. The tool offers curated reports to help INSPIRE stay complaint with PCI DSS and GDPR mandates.
The possibility of devastating insider attacks was also addressed by ADAudit Plus' UBA capabilities, establishing a behavior baseline for every user in the environment and identifying anomalous activities (and, more importantly, suspicious activities). For example, if a user who otherwise logs in during regular work hours all of a sudden logs in at 3am, this will be recorded in the Unusual Logon Activity Time report.
INSPIRE was also impressed by the Attack Surface Analyzer. This prominent feature provides over 25 exclusive reports to help INSPIRE detect attacks, such as pass-the-hash, Kerberoasting, and brute-force attacks, and identify risky configurations in cloud environments.

INSPIRE knew ADAudit Plus' potential but required a little expertise to make the best out of the auditing solution. ManageEngine's product implementation experts scheduled regular calls with INSPIRE's cybersecurity analysts, assisted in the installation, and customized ADAudit Plus to the company's AD environment.
INSPIRE wanted to audit and be notified of all user account creations. ManageEngine's implementation experts created a custom report for event logs generated when a user is created, solving the company's unique auditing requirement. Additionally, the implementation experts configured a custom alert to be triggered when an account creation event log is generated.
