# Unable to connect to Remote Desktop **Problem** You are trying to establish a remote connection to a Linux computer using Endpoint Central and your connection fails. **Cause** You cannot establish a connection if X Window system is not available in the agent machine. **Resolution** 1. If you do not have any GUI component, you will have to manually download the X Window system and install it on the agent machine. 2. If your device runs on any of the below mentioned OS, remote control may not work when Wayland is enabled instead of X Window system: - Ubuntu 22 and above - Redhat (RHEL 8) and above - Fedora 25 and above 3.
