# Install Endpoint Central on AWS ## How to install Endpoint Central on AWS? Endpoint Central can now be installed on Amazon EC2 instances to streamline your server and endpoint management needs. To know more about EC2 instances click [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/WindowsGuide/EC2_GetStarted.html). ### Prerequisites 1. Ensure that the instance meets the [system requirements](https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/system-requirements.html). 2. Ensure that the instance's Public IP/DNS is not blocked by any firewall and is accessible to all client computers. 3. Open the [ports](https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/faq.html#14) of Endpoint Central at Amazon [security groups](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonVPC/latest/UserGuide/VPC_SecurityGroups.html) for smooth communication between the server and the client computers. **Note:** The database can be hosted in AWS marketplace. To know the SQL versions available in AWS, [click here](https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/system-requirements.html). ### Steps After purchasing your instance from Amazon Web Service, you can install Endpoint Central on your instance by referring to this [presentation](https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/Steps_to_install_DC_at_AWS.pdf). You have now successfully installed the Endpoint Central server. To proceed further, you have to install the Endpoint Central agent on the devices you want to manage. Check out [this page](https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/scope-of-management-how-to.html#som-how-to2) to know more on installing agents. **Note:** When you access Endpoint Central using the public IP/DNS address, note that the "Public IP/DNS address" changes when the instance is stopped/terminated. As Endpoint Central works on an agent-server model, it is recommended to use an Elastic IP address for uninterrupted communication between the server and the client computers. For more details on Elastic IP address click [here](http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/elastic-ip-addresses-eip.html). You have now successfully deployed Endpoint Central on Amazon EC2 Instance.
