Adding Custom Links to Devices

Introduction:

This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition - Probes only and MSP Edition - Probes only.

You might want to access another link, either for reference or to another machine in your network over the web (like a VNC to another device, for instance). You can add custom links from the Snapshot page.

Steps to Associate Custom Links to Devices:

Here are the required steps;

1. Go to the Device Snapshot page.

2. Click on the Custom Links menu and click on the Add link.

3. In the pop-up window displayed, provide the link Name.

4. Specify the Url, with required arguments if any, that you intend to access from this device, e.g. 'http://sharepoint?name=$name'. The possible key words are: $name, $displayName, $category, $ipAddress and $type.
   

5. Associate the link either to only this device, to all devices, or to the selected devices.

6. Click Save, for the custom link to get associated to the device.

You will now be able to access the links from the Snapshot page.
