Bulk Import of Monitors

Introduction:

This section is applicable to Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition [Probes only] and MSP Edition [Probes only].

Selecting this option, allows you to add monitors of the same type, in bulk. By giving all the configuration details in a .csv file, bulk import of monitors is made possible.

Bulk Import of Monitors:

In order to import the monitors, in bulk, follow the steps below;

  1. Go to 'Admin -> Servers & Applications' and click on New Monitor link. The Add New Monitor wizard is displayed.

Note: You can also access the Bulk Import option directly under 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> Bulk Import'.

  1. In the Add New Monitor wizard, select one of the below mentioned monitor types, you want to add, from the Add Monitor of type dropdown.

  2. Click on the Bulk Import Monitors link, which pops up the Bulk Import Monitor window. Here, you can upload the .csv file that has all the configuration details. The file would be uploaded to the IT360 machine, in the location <Product-Home>\working\bulkadd\<particular.csv>. This file will be deleted, once the discovery for monitors is scheduled, for security reasons. The list of all monitors to be added is listed down. On clicking 'Start Discovery', all the monitors would be added to IT360.

  3. Click on the Example csv File link, to download a sample csv file, for the selected monitor type.
