Downtime Settings - Servers & Applications

This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition (Probes only) and MSP Edition (Probes only).

ManageEngine IT360 allows you to configure the below Downtime settings for Servers & Applications:

  1. Downtime Schedules

  2. Downtime Scheduler Settings

1. Downtime Schedules

This provides you an option to schedule a time period for which monitoring is not needed. You can configure a new Downtime Schedule by following the below steps:

  1. Login to IT360 console with the Username and Password of an Admin user.

  2. Click the Admin tab in the header pane.

  3. Click Downtime Settings under Monitoring Configuration, where you can find the list of all available schedules.

  4. By default, the Downtime Schedules tab under the Servers & Applications option will be selected, else choose that tab. The Downtime Schedules List page is displayed

  5. Click the Create a new schedule or the Add New link. Now, fill-in the following information.

Schedule Details:

  1. Enter the Task Name.

  2. Enter the Description for the Task.

  3. Choose the Status, by default it is 'Enable'.

Recurrence Details:

  1. Choose the time period for which monitoring is not needed. The Schedule can be Daily, Weekly or Once.

    1. If you choose Daily, enter the Start Time [hh:mm], End Time [hh:mm] and Effect From [choose the date and time from the calandar]

    2. If you choose Weekly or Once, enter the Start Time and Completion Time.

Monitors Details

  1. Associate the Downtime Scheduler task to your monitors, for which monitoring is not required. You can either associate the task to the individual existing monitors or the Business Service.

    1. By Monitors: If you choose this option, just move the monitor(s) to be associated from the Unassociated Monitors side to the Associated Monitors side. You can also use the Search Monitors box to look for a specific monitor.

    2. By Business Service: If you choose this option, select the checkbox(es) of the Business Service(s) listed.

  2. Once you have filled-in all the above details, click Save.

Now, you can find the chosen Monitors having their Maintenance Tasks scheduled.

In order to view the scheduled downtimes, navigate to the Downtime Schedules List page. It displays information about the Monitors for which Maintenance Tasks have been scheduled. Also, you can use the Edit Option available there to modify the schedules.

2. Downtime Scheduler Settings

This option allows you to configure certain settings for the downtimes scheduled above. Ffollow the below steps:

  1. Login to IT360 console with the Username and Password of an Admin user.

  2. Click the Admin tab in the header pane.

  3. Click Downtime Settings under Monitoring Configuration.

  4. Choose the Servers & Applications option. Click the Downtime Scheduler Settings tab.

  5. Now, configure the settings as required (Refer the below screenshot) and click Save.
