Step1:
Create Threshold profile: Thresholds let you define the status
of an attribute based on specific conditions.
In the Demo, we are going to define a threshold to show the status
of the window server as critical, if the CPU Utilization crosses
75%
Step2:
Create Action: Actions include - sending EMail, SMS, trap, and
executing a command to notify you of the alarms generated.
In the Demo, we going to create an EMail to notify the admin
person
Step3:
Associate Threshold & Action: After creating the thresholds
and actions, we have to associate them with the appropriate attributes
of Monitor for generation of alarms.
In the Demo, we will associate EMail (action) if the cpu utilization
(attribute) crosses 75% (threshold) |
