The Problem

Raleigh Radiology's IT admins were getting overwhelmed with a large amount of password reset requests that they received via calls, e-mails, and tickets from both their internal and external users. However, manually resetting passwords for all their users proved to be time-consuming, drained the IT staff of their productivity, and distracted them from more critical matters.

This made Raleigh Radiology look for a solution that could enhance the organization's security measures while allowing its users to manage their own passwords without calling for IT support each time.

The Solution

After a detailed and thorough search, Jordan Straw, managed service engineer for Raleigh Radiology, decided to implement ADSelfService Plus. An identity security solution from ManageEngine, ADSelfService Plus helped to eliminate his team's challenges with password reset requests and more.

ADSelfService Plus let Straw configure policies that allowed Raleigh Radiology's internal and external users to reset passwords, unlock accounts, and update their details without bothering IT admins via an external platform, raleighrad.com.

Straw was also impressed by ADSelfService Plus' user-friendly portal and customization features that let him re-brand the default ADSelfService Plus logo with Raleigh Radiology's corporate logo.

Additionally, the IT team was able to enhance their security measures by implementing out-of-the-box MFA for all new users, helping them to protect sensitive data like PHI and meet HIPAA standards as a healthcare providers. The ADSelfService Plus endpoint MFA safeguards endpoints like Windows, Mac, and Linux machines, RDP, OWA logins, cloud apps, UAC, and endpoints that support RADIUS authentication, plus VPN providers like Fortinet, Cisco AnyConnect, Pulse, and more. Straw and his team were able to choose from 19 authentication techniques offered in AdSelfService Plus, including fingerprint, SMS verification, face ID, email verification, and Google authenticator, to verify a user's authenticity before giving them access to sensitive information.

"Right out of the box, ADSelfService Plus enforces MFA for all new users, which is very important for our security policy—especially with being a healthcare provider and meeting HIPAA requirements and standards."
