The problem
The SSI Group was spending significant time on mundane Active Directory (AD) tasks that could easily be automated. Its IT team was burdened by manual AD management tasks, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and managing password resets. These manual processes led to operational delays, increased workload for IT staff, and challenges in ensuring compliance and security.
The IT department would have to reset the user's password for them, and we did not have full automation or integration with our HR system for user account management.

Adding to the challenge, the group's existing management tools operated in silos and offered no integration with Dayforce, its HRMS platform. SSI Group needed a unified, automated solution that would streamline user life cycle management and enhance security visibility.
The solution
SSI Group was introduced to ManageEngine AD360 through a sister company that had already seen the benefits of the solution. Following a detailed product demo and a positive hands-on experience, SSI Group decided to adopt AD360 and integrate it with its existing tools.
With AD360 in place, the organization immediately automated its end-to-end user life cycle management. By integrating with Dayforce, AD360 automated user provisioning, deprovisioning, and management based on HR updates, eliminating manual intervention. Automations and workflows were set in place to create accounts in Microsoft 365, manage distribution lists, and monitor folder permissions, ensuring both efficiency and compliance.
The ADSelfService Plus module further reduced the burden on IT by enabling employees to reset their own passwords without contacting the help desk, which improved the end-user experience while enabling the IT team to focus on more important tasks.
Outcome: AD360 enabled centralized automation, reduced manual workloads for the IT team, and strengthened SSI Group's identity management framework.
