License Management in Applications Manager

Applications Manager includes a feature that sends license expiry notifications to users via their configured email address. Users can schedule these alerts to be sent either a few days before the expiry date or on the day of expiry, ensuring they have ample time to take necessary action.

Configuring License Expiry Notification

User can access this feature by navigating to Settings → License Management → License Expiry Notification. Following are the list of options available to configure the License Expiry Notification in Applications Manager:

  • Notify License Expiry via email: Using this option, users can schedule License Expiry notification  in terms of days. The available options range from 90 days to 1 day before expiry and On Expiry. By default, the Notification scheduler will be enabled for On Expiry, 1 Day, 5 Days and 30 Days
  • Notify when Monitor Limit is Exceeded via email: Using this option, users will be notified via email whenever monitor usage limit reaches the specified percentage threshold. The available options range from 50% to 100%. By default, this option is enabled and the notification scheduler will be configured for 90% and 100% of license consumption. This enables you to receive alerts before monitor limit is exceeded, which might prevent the monitor from collecting data.

The available options range from 50% to 100%. By default, this option is enabled and the notification scheduler will be configured for 90% and 100% of AppLogs Usage. Note: This option is only available from Applications Manager v180700.

  • Notify me on: Here the user can choose the mail ID to which the notification email must be sent. It can be Primary or Secondary contact Email ID provided in the license or an SMTP configured Email ID or Super Administrator Email ID or pre configured Email Actions.
  • Notify product support on License Expiry via Email: This option will notify the Applications Manager product support team about the license expiry. The product support mail ID will be added in cc while sending the mail to the user. By default, this option will be enabled - only if Applications Manager is installed in India, China, Japan, Canada or United States. If necessary, the user can disable this option.
  • Notify License Expiry in product header: This option will help the user to receive license expiry notifications as alerts on product header of the web client. By default, this option is enabled.
