AWS Health Events Monitoring
AWS Health Events - Overview
AWS Health Events is a service that provides real-time visibility into the operational status of your AWS environment. Using the AWS Health API, it surfaces events across AWS services - including issues affecting service availability, scheduled maintenance, and account-specific notifications. Events are categorized by type (such as issues, scheduled changes, account notifications, and investigations) and can be filtered by region and service, enabling you to quickly identify and respond to any disruptions impacting your account.
Monitoring AWS Health Events is essential for maintaining the reliability and continuity of your cloud infrastructure. Applications Manager's AWS Health Events monitoring tool tracks open, upcoming, and closed events across all your AWS services and regions, giving you a consolidated view of your account's health. With real-time alerts, historical event tracking, and detailed breakdowns by event type, region, and service, you can proactively address issues, plan for scheduled changes, and ensure business continuity.

Monitored Parameters
Go to the Monitors Category View by clicking the Monitors tab. Click on the Health Events instance available under Amazon in the Cloud Apps section. Displayed below is the AWS Health Events bulk configuration view, distributed into three tabs:
- Availability tab gives the availability history for the past 24 hours or 30 days.
- Performance tab gives the health status and events for the past 24 hours or 30 days.
- List view tab enables you to perform bulk admin configurations.
By clicking a monitor from the list, you'll be taken to the AWS Health Events dashboard, which includes the following tabs:
Performance Overview

| Open Events Rate | The percentage of open events relative to the total number of events at the time of polling (in %). |
| Upcoming Events Rate | The percentage of upcoming events relative to the total number of events at the time of polling (in %). |

| Open Events | The total number of currently open events at the time of polling. |

| Event Type | The AWS event type code. |
| Open Events | The total number of currently open events for the event type at the time of polling. |

| Upcoming Events | The total number of upcoming events for the event type at the time of polling. |
| Total Events | The total number of events for the event type at the time of polling. |
| Top 5 Open Events by Event Type - Displays a graphical representation of the top 5 event types with respect to their open events. |
