Steps to configure SAML SSO Rhombus Systems

Rhombus Systems is a cloud-based security platform that provides smart video surveillance and sensor solutions for businesses. It combines AI-powered cameras, environmental sensors, and integrations with access control systems to deliver real-time insights and threat detection.

The following steps will help you enable SSO for Rhombus Systems from Identity360.

Identity360 (identity provider) configuration steps

  1. The MFA and SSO license for Identity360 is required to enable SSO for enterprise applications.
  2. Log in to Identity360 as an Admin, Super Admin, or Technician with a role that has Application Integration and Single Sign-on permissions.
  3. Navigate to Applications > Application Integration > Create New Application, and select Rhombus Systems from the applications displayed.
    Note: You can also find Rhombus Systems from the search bar located at the top.
  4. Under the General Settings tab, enter the Application Name and Description.
  5. Under the Choose Capabilities tab, check the Single Sign-on check box and click Continue.

  6. Under Integration Settings, navigate to the Single Sign On tab, enter the Relay State parameter, if necessary.
    Note: Relay State is an optional parameter used with a SAML message to remember where you were or to direct you to a specific page after logging in.
  7. Click IdP Details. Copy the Metadata file, which will be used later during the configuration in Rhombus Systems.
  8. Click Save.

Rhombus Systems (service provider) configuration steps

  1. Log in to Rhombus as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Single Sign-On.
  3. Toggle on Use Single Sign-On for Rhombus Console.
  4. Select specific users as SSO Recovery Users. We recommend having at least two recovery users.
  5. Toggle on Use Single Sign-On for Rhombus Key, as per organizational requirements.
  6. Toggle On Just-In-Time User Creation, if required. You can enable Just-In-Time User Creation to automatically generate a Rhombus user account that matches the SSO login email when the user logs into the console for the first time.
  7. In the IDP MetaData XML, paste the Metadata copied in Step 7 of prerequisites.
  8. Click Save.

Your users will now be able to sign in to Rhombus Systems through the Identity360 portal.

Note: For Rhombus Systems, both SP-initiatied and IdP-initiated flows are supported.

Steps to enable MFA for Rhombus Systems

Setting up MFA for Rhombus Systems using Identity360 involves the following steps:

  1. Set up one or more authenticators for identity verification when users attempt to log in to Rhombus Systems. Identity360 supports various authenticators, including Google Authenticator, Zoho OneAuth, and email-based verification codes. Click here for steps to set up the different authenticators.
  2. Integrate Rhombus Systems with Identity360 by configuring SSO using the steps listed here.
  3. Now, activate MFA for Rhombus Systems by following the steps mentioned here.
