Configure Threshold Rules
You might want to get alerted whenever the device usage reaches/exceeds the threshold limit. In such a condition, you can create an Threshold rule.
To create a Threshold Rule :
- In webclient go to Settings → Monitoring → Performance Monitor.
- Click 'Add' on the top-right corner.
- Provide the necessary details such as SNMP OID, Vendor and Monitor names, Description and Monitoring intervals.
- Choose if you want the alert data to be stored or not in the 'Store Data' field.
- Specify the values for the Attention, Trouble and Critical thresholds.
- Set the value for the Rearm field, below which the alarm gets reset.
- Click on 'OK' to save the rule.
To apply the Threshold Rule :
- Navigate to the rule you just created (or) the rule you want to apply.
- Click the button under the 'Action' column of the rule.
- Select the devices that you want to apply this rule for, and click on the right arrow to feed those devices into the 'Selected Devices' list.
- Click 'Associate' to finish up.
- If you want to remove all previous rule on the selected device(s) and only apply the one that is currently selected, click on 'Apply and Overwrite'.
To view / modify a Threshold rule :
Click on the name of the rule in the Performance Monitors window.
You can view all the details of that rule in the pop-up.
If you need to edit it, make the necessary changes and click 'OK' to apply them.
