One of the main tasks to be carried out by migration admin is creation of CSV files containing list of Exchange Server mailboxes to be migrated to Exchange Online. This can be used to migrate bulk user mailboxes in migration processes like staged or on-boarding remote move migration. In other migration processes like cutover migration there is no need for CSV files as all the organizational mailboxes are migrated in a single batch.
You can create this CSV file using applications like Microsoft Excel and easily import data and configure the files. Each CSV file must consist of a header with attributes supported for a migration process separated by commas. Each row below the header will represent the corresponding details of the individual user mailboxes in the same order. The attributes supported for staged migration are: EmailAddress, Password and ForceChangePassword.
Once the CSV files are created and batches are configured for migration the next task is monitoring the migration process. M365 Manager Plus can help you with it.
