- The basic requirement to access OneDrive is to have an active Microsoft personal account, or a work or school account.
- It is always advisable to go with the latest versions of web browsers (Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) while accessing OneDrive online.

Client versions: 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 7 (not supported for Windows XP or Linux), Mac OS X 10.12 or later.
Server versions: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, or Windows Server 2008 R2.
- The processor must have a speed of 1.6 GHz or higher (or Intel-based Mac computer, or a Windows 10 ARM-based PC) with 1 GB of RAM or higher.
- A minimum resolution of 1024 × 576 is required. NTFS, HFS+ (case insensitive) and APFS (case insensitive) are the supported file systems.
