To avoid frequent file and folder syncing errors, you must choose to sync only the required files and folders to your local PC or mobile devices during installation. Else, you can also use the OneDrive Files On-Demand feature to access files in OneDrive without downloading them and hence save disk space.
Here’s how you can turn on Files On-Demand feature:
- Sign in to OneDrive for Business using your account credentials.
- Navigate to Help & Settings > Settings > Save space and download files as you use them.
- Choose the suitable option (Always keep on this device or Free up space) for each folder or file and save the changes.
Note: As Files On-Demand settings are unique to each device, you must perform these operations separately for all the devices synced with OneDrive.
