Getting started with Microsoft Teams templates
Microsoft Teams offers three predefined templates to help small and medium businesses to deploy Teams effortlessly. This helps users adhere to a structure and quickly adapt to Teams. The teams created through these templates will be private and can later be changed to public or organization-wide teams.
Company-wide template
This template is relevant for company-wide communication and collaboration. It creates three channels: General, Human Resources and Fun Stuff. The General channel can be used to make company-wide announcements, the Human Resources channel for posting HR-related documents and activities, and the Fun Stuff channel can be used as a social platform for employees. The company website is pinned to the Human Resources channel. This template can be deployed using Microsoft Graph.
Executive team template
This template is ideal for the executives in a company to collaborate and converse on important topics such as strategic goals, fiscal budget, etc. The template creates a General channel for announcements and a Private channel to invite select users for specific topics. The OneNote and Planner apps are pinned to the Private channel. This template can be deployed using Microsoft Graph.
Departmental team template
This template can be used to create teams for specific departments or projects. The template creates a General channel for announcements and a Private channel to invite select users for specific topics. The OneNote and Planner apps are pinned to the Private channel. This template can be deployed using Microsoft Graph.
