The Meeting Migration Service (MMS) is used to update a user's existing meetings in the following scenarios. MMS is automatically triggered in each of the cases mentioned below but admins can also disable it at the tenant level.
- When a user is migrated from Skype for Business on-premises to Microsoft Teams.
- When a user’s audio conferencing settings are changed by the admin.
- When an online user is upgraded to TeamsOnly, or when a user's coexistence mode in TeamsUpgradePolicy is set to SfBwithTeamsCollabAndMeetings
- When PowerShell is used.
Note: MMS cannot be used if the user’s mailbox is hosted in Exchange Server and if the user is being migrated from the cloud to Skype for Business Server.
