A user who is moved from Skype for Business on-premises to Microsoft Teams is assigned the TeamsUpgradePolicy with the coexistence mode as TeamsOnly. Moving the users to TeamsOnly mode can be done using the Move-CsUser cmdlet in PowerShell or the Skype for Business Server Control Panel.
To move the users using Skype for Business Server Control Panel:
- Open the Skype for Business Server Control Panel app.
- Choose Users in the left navigation pane.
- Use Find to locate the user(s) you would like to move to Teams.
- Select the user(s), and choose Move selected users to Teams from the Action dropdown box.
- Click Next in the wizard.
- If prompted, sign into Microsoft 365 or Microsoft 365 with an account that belongs to the .onmicrosoft.com domain and has sufficient permissions.
- Click Next twice to move the user.
