Microsoft offers a report that helps you monitor SharePoint Online site usage, so you can better understand the status of your active and total sites, what files they contain, how they are being accessed, and how much storage space they are taking up. This page elaborates the steps to access and get details from the SharePoint Site Usage report.
How to access SharePoint Site Usage reports
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Go to Reports → Usage from the sidebar.
- From the Select a report drop-down list, select SharePoint → Site Usage.
Understanding the SharePoint site usage report
This report can give you data on site usage for the last 7, 30, 90, or 180 days. The reports are not retained after the specified time period. The report's data can be sorted based on details such as date of activity, number of times a site was accessed, and more.
