The 2018 Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management comes just a few months after Gartner named privileged account management a top security project for CISOs[ii]. Gartner reiterated the importance of PAM in its latest Magic Quadrant report, noting that "security and risk management leaders must use PAM tools in a long-term strategy for comprehensive risk mitigation.i"
"Organizations that fail to implement a PAM program are more likely to become a target for severe insider attacks and data breaches. Gartner releasing a Magic Quadrant exclusively for this space, in my opinion, reinforces the significance of PAM," said Rajesh Ganesan, vice president of product management at ManageEngine. "I also believe that ManageEngine’s inclusion in this report proves our strong position in the market and encourages us to continue our investments to help our customers address this problem effectively."
