1. Prerequisites

The following elements are essential for the proper functioning of the Access Manager Plus server:

  1. A mail server (SMTP server) for the functioning of Access Manager Plus server and to send various notifications to users.
  2. Microsoft .NET framework.
  3. Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 and above.
  4. Access Manager Plus comes with a self-signed certificate by default. We recommended you to replace it with an internally signed certificate or a certificate from a third-party CA.

2. System Requirements

The below table provides an overview of the hardware and software configurations required by Access Manager Plus:

Note: In general, Access Manager Plus works well with any flavor of Linux and can also be run on VMs of the above operating systems.

HTML client requires one of the following browsers** to be installed in the system:

  • IE 10 and above (on Windows)
  • Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (on Windows, Linux and Mac)

** Access Manager Plus is optimized for 1280 x 800 resolution and above.

Database

  • PostgreSQL 10.18, bundled with the product.
  • Supports MS SQL Server 2008 and above. SQL server should be installed in Windows 2008 Server and above.

3. Components of Access Manager Plus

Access Manager Plus comprises of the following components:

  1. The Access Manager Plus server.
  2. The database PostgreSQL 10.18:
    • bundled with Access Manager Plus that runs as a separate process.
    • that accepts connections only from the host where it is running.
    • that runs in an invisible mode.

5. User Roles and Licensing

5.1 User Roles

Access Manage Plus comes with two user roles:

  1. Administrator
  2. Standard User

Licensing restricts the number of users as a whole, which includes Administrators and User. To get more details on the user roles, click here.

5.2 License Types

There are two license types:

  1. Free Edition: Licensed software that allows you to have 2 users with limited set of features. Valid forever.
  2. Standard Edition: The registered version with licensing is based on the number of users, irrespective of roles. It comes with additional enterprise-class features such as TFA, Landing Servers for RDP/SSH, Session Collaboration, etc.
