How to get Azure Policy Assignment using Azure PowerShell.

Description:

An assignment can be defined as a policy that has been assigned to take place within a specific scope. The Get-AzPolicyAssignment cmdlet gets all or specific policy assignments. This cmdlet can identify a policy assignment based on its name and scope, or by ID.

Syntax:

Get-AzPolicyAssignment [-Name <String>] [-Scope <String>] [-PolicyDefinitionId <String>] [-ApiVersion <String>] [-Pre] [-DefaultProfile <IAzureContextContainer>] [<CommonParameters>]

Example: To retrieve all policy assignments, use the cmdlet given below:

PS C:\> Get-AzPolicyAssignment

To retrieve a specific policy assignment, use any of the cmdlets given below:

PS C:\> $ResourceGroup = Get-AzResourceGroup -Name 'ResourceGroup28' PS C:\> Get-AzPolicyAssignment -Name 'PolicyAssignment03' -Scope $ResourceGroup.ResourceId
