How to remove an Azure Policy Assignment using Azure PowerShell.

Description:

An assignment can be defined as a policy that has been assigned to take place within a specific scope. The Remove-AzPolicyAssignment cmdlet removes a policy assignment.

Syntax:

Remove-AzPolicyAssignment -Name <String> [-Scope <String>] [-ApiVersion <String>] [-Pre] [-DefaultProfile <IAzureContextContainer>] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]

Example: The below mentioned PowerShell cmdlet removes a Policy Assignment by name and scope.

Command 1: PS C:\> $ResourceGroup = Get-AzResourceGroup -Name 'ResourceGroup27' Command 2: PS C:\> Remove-AzPolicyAssignment -Name 'PolicyAssignment11' -Scope $ResourceGroup.ResourceId -Confirm

Line 1 is the Get-AzResourceGroup command that gets a resource under the name "ResourceGroup27".

Line 2 uses the Remoce-AzPolicyAssignment to remove the policy assignment named PolicyAssignment11 that was assigned at a resource group level.
