The Who, Where and When information is very important for an administrator to have complete knowledge of all activities that occur on their Active Directory. This helps them identify any desired / undesired activity happening. ADAudit Plus assists an administrator with this information in the form of reports. In real-time, ensure critical resources in the network like the Domain Controllers are audited, monitored and reported with the entire information on AD objects - Users, Groups, GPO, Computer, OU, DNS, AD Schema and Configuration changes with 200+ detailed event specific GUI reports and email alerts.

What are basic security audit policies?

A basic security audit policy allows you to audit specific categories of security-related events. By default, all auditing categories are disabled when Windows is first installed. Depending on the security needs of your organization, you can enable required auditing event categories.

The following are the event categories that can be audited:

  • Audit account logon events
  • Audit account management
  • Audit directory service access
  • Audit logon events
  • Audit object access
  • Audit policy change
  • Audit privilege use
  • Audit process tracking
  • Audit system events

It must be noted that if you want to audit access to objects, either the audit directory service access category (for auditing objects on a domain controller), or the audit object access category (for auditing objects on a member server) must be enabled.
