How to lock a device based on the duration of inactivity?

Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit is a security policy setting that locks a device based on the duration of user-input inactivity. It applies to all Windows devices running on Windows Server 2012, Windows 8 and later versions.

Description

The Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit enables Windows to detect the user-input inactivity of a sign-in session. It allows you to set the amount of time a session can be inactive. Once the duration of inactivity exceeds the set threshold, the user's session is locked and a screensaver is invoked.

The Machine will be locked after value can be set between 0 to 599,940 (166.65 hours) seconds. If the value is set to 0 or not specified, this policy setting will be considered disabled and no action will be performed.

Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit security policy setting can be accessed at GPO/Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options.
