A brief look at configuring Kerberos Policy settings
The Kerberos version 5 authentication protocol is the default mechanism that authenticates users logging into the domain and evaluates the authorization data required for a user to access and perform operations on resources on the domain. It is recommended that you reduce the shelf life of Kerberos tickets so you reduce the risk of a legitimate user's credentials being stolen by an attacker trying to login to your domain. The down side to this is the authorization overhead. In most environments, these settings should remain the same.
These policy settings are located in >Computer Configuration>Windows Settings>Security Settings>Account Policies>Kerberos Policy.
The following list is from a Microsoft document and comprises of implementation and best practices considerations, policy location, default values for the server type or GPO, relevant differences in operating system versions, security considerations (including the possible settings vulnerabilities of each setting), countermeasures you can take, and the potential impact of each setting.
