What is Shutdown: Clear vrtual memory pagefile setting?

This policy decides whether the virtual memory pagefile is cleared when a system is shut down. The virtual memory is a temporary storage of less often used RAM files on to the hard disk so that it frees up space on the RAM for more immediate tasks. It is recommended that this policy is enabled as it will clear any critical or confidential data that might have been saved on the page file at shutdown. If this setting is disabled, any user with a malicious intent can access the pagefile and view its contents. If the policy is disabled, and if the system can be booted to the other OSs installed on it, a malicious actor could start the system and access the virtual memory pagefile.
