Cannot view a user's universal group membership in Windows Server 2003

The issue

When a user's group membership is viewed using the Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) console, the user's universal group membership is not listed completely. The universal groups which are not located in the local domain are not listed; Only those that are in the local domain are shown.

Fix for the issue

To fix this issue, the OS has to be upgraded to the latest version, as suggested in this article.
