Delayed Management Tasks

While executing any management action, there are certain tasks that cannot be executed immediately, but executed with a delay. This could be due to a variety of reasons such as the object to be managed not having been created yet. Such tasks will be executed as soon as the relevant object is created. The following example will help you understand what a delayed management task is.

In Office 365 management, while using the Create O365 accounts for AD users feature to create an Office 365 account for a user, it will not be possible to immediately assign an email alias, enable or disable litigation hold and in-place archive for the user's mailbox as the mailbox might not have been created yet.

Tasks like these will be listed under Delayed Management Tasks. ADManager Plus will check periodically if the relevant object is created, and execute the delayed actions once the object is found. You can view all delayed tasks, execute any task immediately whenever you wish to, and also view all failed tasks.
