Zia

Introduction

Zia is virtual assistant integrated with Endpoint Central, designed to help users automate various tasks and improve overall experience. It leverages OpenAI technology to provide intelligent assistance within the product.

This guide walks you through how to enable Zia, explore its capabilities, and get the most out of it.

Note: Zia is currently available only in the cloud version of Endpoint Central and is accessible via the Endpoint Analytics module

Enabling Zia

Zia assistant can be enabled by individual users who have atleast Sensor write in Endpoint Analytics.

On first access, users will be prompted to review and confirm the privacy policy.

Once accepted, Zia will be activated for that user. Users can then start asking sensor-related questions and receive assistance, as shown in the example image below.

Zia Features

Managing endpoints involves navigating across multiple areas, and manual tasks can be time-consuming and error-prone. Zia simplifies common operations by providing assistance in the following areas:

  • Faster Data Collection with Sensors: Create new sensors from scratch to collect custom data — just by using natural language prompts.

  • Script Generation for Sensors: Zia assists in writing PowerShell scripts to define business logic for custom fields in sensors. For example, when defining a variable in a sensor, Zia can help generate the relevant script.

Sample Queries

Here are some example prompts you can try with Zia:

  • Create a sensor to collect WiFi performance data

  • Provide a script to fetch disk SMART data and store in the 'diskhealth' variable
