Dependent files are missing

Problem

Linux patch deployment remains in Retry In Progress. Execution Status Remarks show Dependent files are missing. Deployment will continue during the subsequent refresh cycle.

Cause

Dependent files for the selected Linux patch were not available yet. They are downloaded in the background with the main patch.

Resolution

Retry the deployment after 90 minutes. Dependency download progress is not shown in the console.

If the status is unchanged after 90 minutes, collect the Linux agent logs from the computer:

  1. Open Terminal on the computer where the Linux agent is installed.
  2. Go to the agent directory. The default location is /usr/local/manageengine/uems_agent.
  3. Run sudo ./CollectLogs.sh.
  4. The archive is saved as _UEMSAgent_Logs.zip in the Linux agent installed directory.
