Unable to reach Desktop Central Server during Integration

Problem

You have problems in reaching the Desktop Central server while trying to integrate Desktop Central app with Zendesk. 

Cause 

You will encounter this error due to one or more of the following reasons:

  1. Desktop Central Server has stopped/not reachable.
  2. Incompatible build version of Desktop Central server.
  3. Self Signed or Third party Security Certificate not from a trusted authority

Resolution

You need to verify the following steps mentioned below :

  1. Ensure Desktop Central server is up and running in the network. You can also try accessing the Desktop Central server in your browser.
  2. Ensure you have moved Desktop Central server to the latest version - Desktop Central 10 build #10.0.112. Learn more.
  3. It is recommended to hold a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certificate signed by a valid Certificate Authority (CA) to secure communication with the DC server. Learn more.
