Worklog Type

    Worklog type allows you to record different modes of technicians work input such as travel, on-site visit, remote support, overtime support, weekend support, and more and compute charges for the same.

    Technicians can select the worklog type while creating a worklog in Requests. 

    To Add New Worklog Type  

    1. Go to Admin > Customization > Helpdesk.

    1. Navigate to Worklog Types, click New.

    1. Provide a name for the worklog type. This is a mandatory field.

    1. Select a unique color to identify the worklog type.

    1. Provide a short description about the worklog type.

    1. Click Save or Save and Add New.

     

     

    Edit/Delete Worklog Type - Click the Actions icon besides the worklog type to edit/delete it.

    To bulk delete, select multiple worklog types and click .

     

    Note:  If a worklog type associated with a module is deleted, it will be marked as inactive. 

     

    Filter worklog type - By default, the active worklog types are displayed on the worklog types page. Click the Worklog Types drop-down to switch between the Active and Inactive Worklog Types.

     

    Reactivate Inactive Worklog Types - Edit an inactive worklog type and uncheck the Inactive box. Click Update to reactivate the worklog type.

     

     

    You can also select multiple inactive worklog types and click Mark as Active. 

    Search through Worklog Types - Click the icon to search through the worklog types from the list view.

    Limit the number of records displayed - Choose the number of worklog types to be displayed in the list view.

    Sort Worklog Types - Click the icon to sort the worklog types in alphabetical order.
