Data synchronization between Admin and Managed Servers

This page explains about the data synchronization that is performed between Admin and Managed servers in Enterprise Edition of Applications Manager.

Enterprise Edition provides a centralized dashboard view for monitoring multiple servers and applications hosted in data centers across various geographical locations by monitoring those resources added in various Managed servers and collectively managing them from a single centralized Admin server. Since multiple managed servers are constantly managed and monitored from a single central Admin server, maintaining proper data synchronization between these servers becomes mandatory to ensure proactive monitoring and data accuracy in a business infrastructure.

Following are the list of modules and their corresponding time intervals with which data sync is performed in Applications Manager:

Modules Description Time interval of data sync
Monitors This comprises of inventory data shown in the dashboard page of respective monitors. Every 30 seconds
APM (APM Insight) This comprises of inventory data fetched from APM Insight agents and shown in the dashboard page of respective applications/instances in APM tab. Immediately
Alarms This comprises of alert details shown in the Alarms tab as well as the RCAs shown in the monitor dashboards. Every 30 seconds / Immediately (for newly-raised Critical/Warning alerts)
Reports This comprises of inventory data shown in the Reports tab as well as the reports shown in the monitor dashboards. Every 1 hour
Settings This data comprises of list of settings configured in the Settings tab. List of configuration settings data synced Every 1 minute
