Patch Installation - "Fatal Error during Installation"

Problem

You are trying to install patches but you get an error message - "Fatal Error during installation".

Cause

This may be due to errors specific to some patches.

Resolution

Check the %windows%\KB******.log for possible reasons and correct the same.

If problem persists, contact support with the following logs:

1. %windows%\KB******.log
2. Agent logs pertaining to the computers where the patch is being installed.
