Schedule Reports for Network Devices

This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition (Probes only) and MSP Edition (Probes only).

The device reports are available in the respective Device Snapshot page.

You can configure IT360 to generate reports based on a specified schedule. The generated reports can also be automatically emailed to the concerned email IDs in PDF or XLS formats.

Steps to Schedule Reports from Admin Page

  1. Login to IT360 console with the Username and Password of an Admin user.

  2. Click the Admin tab in the header pane.

  3. Click Schedule Reports under Reporting.

  4. In the Report Scheduler page, click the Add Schedule button on the right or the here link (this link is shown if no schedules are listed).

Note: You can also view the Report Scheduler page, by clicking the Reports tab and clicking Schedule under the Network Reports dropdown.

  1. Configure the following details in the Generate Required Reports page displayed:

    1. Schedule name: Configure a name for the schedule.

    2. Choose Report Type: You can choose to schedule either the Device specific Availability reports or the Top N Reports / All Devices reports.

    3. Click Next.

  1. If you have chosen the Report Type as Device specific Availability reports, then the Generate Availability Report page appears as shown below. Configure the required details:

  1. Choose to generate the Availability Report for any of the three categories; a category of devices, devices in a Business View, or specific devices manually.

  2. Select the period (e.g., Last 12 Hours, Yesterday, etc) for which you want to generate the reports.

  3. Click Next.
  1. Now, configure the Time settings for report generation, as shown below:

Daily:

Note: If the size of the attachment exceeds 1MB, the reports will be published and the url will be sent to the specified address.

Weekly:

Note: If the size of the attachment exceeds 1MB, the reports will be published and the url will be sent to the specified address.

Monthly:

Select the time, day, and the months for which the reports must be generated.

Note: If the size of the attachment exceeds 1MB, the reports will be published and the url will be sent to the specified address.
  1. Click Next.

  2. Confirm the schedule details, as shown in the below screenshot.

  1. Finally, verify all the listed details of the schedule and hit Submit.
  1. If you have chosen the Report Type as Top N Reports / All Devices reports, then the Report Selection page appears as shown below. Configure the required details:

  1. Top N Reports: Select from Top 10/25/50/100/1000 reports.

  2. Period: Choose the period (e.g., Last 12 Hours, Yesterday, etc) for which you want the report scheduled.

  3. Select Report(s): Select the required resource reports to be scheduled from the textbox.

  4. Business View Reports: Select the relevant check-box and select the business view to generate reports specific to the devices in that business view.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Now, configure the Time settings for report generation, as shown below:

Daily:

Note: If the size of the attachment exceeds 1MB, the reports will be published and the url will be sent to the specified address.

Weekly:

Note: If the size of the attachment exceeds 1MB, the reports will be published and the url will be sent to the specified address.

Monthly:

Select the time, day, and the months for which the reports must be generated.

Note: If the size of the attachment exceeds 1MB, the reports will be published and the url will be sent to the specified address.
  1. Click Next.

  2. Confirm the schedule details, as shown in the below screenshot.

  1. Finally, verify all the listed details of the schedule and hit Submit.

Steps to Schedule Reports from Reports Page

  1. Go to the Reports page, by following the steps:1-3.

  2. Now, in the pop- up window displayed, click the Schedule This button. A window pops up, as shown below:

  1. Configure the various Settings (shown in the above screenshot), as required.

  2. Once you have configured the above settings, fill in the Timing details for either Daily, Weekly, or Monthy (shown in the below screenshot), as required. Click Submit.

Actions Performed from Report Scheduler page

From the Report Scheduler page, you can perform the below actions:

  1. Viewing Reports

In the Report Scheduler page, click the View Reports icon corresponding to a schedule, to view the list of generated reports for that schedule.

  1. Enabling / Disabling the Configured Schedule

Once you configure the report schedules, they are listed in the Report Scheduler page. Select the required schedules and click on the Enable / Disable button at the bottom of the list, to enable or disable the schedule, respectively.

  1. Editing the Configured Schedule

In the Report Scheduler page, click on the link of the Schedule, which you wish to modify.

  1. Deleting the Configured Schedule

In the Report Scheduler page, select the required schedules and click on the Delete button at the bottom of the list.
