1. You need to procure a separate license for Microsoft SQL and configure the same to enable a connection to IT360.

2. For Microsoft SQLinstallation in IT360 server itself, you need to consider the Microsoft SQL-specific system / hardware requirements, in addition to the system / hardware requirements of IT360, for better performance.

Refer the Microsoft SQL Configuration document for more information.

Refer the Microsoft SQL Configuration document for more information.

Note:

  1. All the editions can be installed in a VMWare environment. In such case, Dynamic Resource Balancing should be turned off by configuring Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), appropriately in the ESX/VM level. This is for DRS to be included under the VM.

  2. The server, where IT360 is going to be installed, should not contain the symbol underscore [ _ ] in its HostName.
Note: If you use underscore [ _ ], you will not be able to access certain services on TCP/IP networks, as it may affect IT360 service startup.
  1. If you plan to use the Failover option, it is recommended to use Microsoft SQL as the backend database.

  2. If you want to run the IT360 Batch files, and if you are using Windows Server 2008, then make sure of the following:

    • You have 'Edit' permission in IT360 folders (even if you are a user, having Administrator privilege).

    • If you do not have 'Edit' permission in IT360 folders, then right click on the Batch file (e.g. 'changeWebServerPort.bat')

and click on 'Run as administrator'.

Refer the Microsoft SQL Configuration document for more information.
