The default port through which the traps are received is 1621. The default port can be changed by modifying ' <am.traplistener.port>' property in '<AMServer.properties>' under '<IT360_home>\application\conf' directory. Restart the server for the changes to take effect.
Follow the steps given below to configure a SNMP Trap Listener:
Go to 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> SNMP Trap Listener' [or] 'Admin -> Tools -> SNMP Trap Listener'. This will take you to the 'SNMP Trap Listeners' page.
Click on 'Add New' or 'Create new SNMP Trap Listener'. This will take you to the 'Trap Listener Details' page.
Fill in the below Trap Listener Details in the 'Trap Listener Details' page:
Enter the Trap Listener Name.
Choose the Status of the trap. The Status is 'Enable', by default.
- If you select the version v1, choose the 'Generic Type'. The various generic types are coldStart, warmStart, linkDown, linkUp, authenticationFailure, egpNeighborLoss and enterpriseSpecific.
- If you choose the generic type as 'enterpriseSpecific', then you should provide the 'Enterprise Specifc Type' that can be either numeric or ' * '. Enter the Enterprise Object ID (OID). You can use the MibBrowser to get the OID. If you select a Parent OID from the MibBrowser, all child OIDs will also be automatically listened.
- If you select the versionv2c, then enter the Trap OID, i.e. the Enterprise OID.

- Select the Severity. It can be Critical, Warning, Clear, New Threshold Profile, or WTA Exception.

- If you select the 'New Threshold Profile' option, you have to specify the 'Threshold Name' and the conditions for the different severities of alarms. By default, you can configure the condition for Critical severity by choosing 'Critical Alarm If' conditions from the options 'contains', 'does not contain', 'equal to', 'not equal to', 'starts with' and 'ends with'. Select the 'Show Advanced Options' checkbox to configure Warning and Clear alarm severities (i.e. 'Warning Alarm If' and 'Clear Alarm If' conditions).

- If you select the 'WTA Exception' option, you have to specify the 'Threshold Name' and the conditions for the different severities of alarms, by clicking 'Edit'. By default, you can configure the condition for Critical severity by choosing 'Critical Alarm If' conditions from the options 'contains', 'does not contain', 'equal to', 'not equal to', 'starts with' and 'ends with'. Select the 'Show Advanced Options' checkbox to configure Warning and Clear alarm severities (i.e. 'Warning Alarm If' and 'Clear Alarm If' conditions).

- Trap can be received from any Host by selecting the checkbox 'Receive this trap from any Host', or you can specify the Host from which the trap can be received by deselecting the checkbox.
4. Click on
- Associate Actions that need to be executed, when the trap is received. The actions can be chosen from the list of actions configured. If you have selected the 'New Threshold Profile' or the 'WTA Exception' option, under Severity, you have to associate the actions for the severities, as defined in the rexpective profiles. to save the Trap Listener.

The alerts configured for the traps received can be viewed by clicking the 'Alarms' tab.
You can use the 'Edit' option to modify the traps listeners. Follow the below steps to edit the traps listeners:
Go to 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> SNMP Trap Listener' [or] 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> Tools -> SNMP Trap Listener'.
Click on 'Edit' against the Traps Listener that you want to edit. This will take you to the 'Trap Listener Details' page.
Follow the below steps to delete a traps listener:
Go to 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> SNMP Trap Listener' [or] 'Admin -> Servers & Applications -> Tools -> SNMP Trap Listener'.
