SAP CCMS Monitors

This section is common to all the editions of IT360 - Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition - Probes only and MSP Edition - Probes only.

Creating SAP CCMS Monitor:

Prerequisites for monitoring SAP CCMS Monitors:

• SAP JavaConnector (JCo) should be present in IT360's classpath. More

• You need a SAP user profile, while creating a SAP CCMS monitor, with the following authorization objects; S_RFC, S_XMI_LOG and S_XMI_PROD, which are minimum prerequisites for adding the SAP CCMS monitor.

Steps for creating SAP CCMS Monitor:

Follow the steps given below;

1. Go to 'Admin-> Servers & Applications', and click on 'New Monitor' link.

2. Select 'SAP CCMS' from 'Add Monitor of type' drop down.

3. Enter 'Display Name'.

4. Provide 'Host Name / IP Address'.

5. Enter the SAP 'Logon client'.

6. Enter the SAP 'System number'.

7. Enter the SAP Logon 'Language', such as 'EN' for English.

8. Enter the 'Polling Interval' time in minutes.

9. Enter the 'User Name' & 'Password' for SAP.

10. Select 'CCMS Monitor Sets', by clicking on 'Click Here' link. It then displays a list of CCMS monitor sets, present in the SAP server. Select a CCMS monitor set, which you would like to monitor, from the list.

11. Choose the grouping, to which you want to associate the SAP CCMS Monitor, from the combo box;

• In the case of Professional Edition, choose the Business Service/Sub-Group from the combo box, to which you want to associate the Monitor (optional).

• In the case of Enterprise Edition Probe, choose the Business Service/Sub-Group from the combo box, to which you want to associate the Monitor (optional).

• In the case of MSP Edition Probe, choose Customer and Site [mandatory]

12. Click Add Monitor(s). Upon adding the SAP CCMS monitor, you can view the details of the newly added SAP CCMS monitor.

Note: Kindly refer SAP CCMS Parameters, to know more about the attributes monitored. Please note that while creating a SAP monitor, you need a SAP user profile, with the following authorization objects: S_RFC, S_XMI_LOG and S_XMI_PROD, which are the minimum prerequisities, for adding a SAP monitor.

Adding SAP Application running on 64 bit OS:

The steps listed below help you to add the SAP application, which runs on 64 bit OS;

Note: The below mentioned solution will work, only if IT360 runs on 32bit OS and SAP runs on 64bit OS.

1. Download 'SAP JavaConnector' from the 'SAP_Windows.zip' file. (Please contact, it360-eval@manageengine.com, to get the 'SAP_Windows.zip' file).

2. Unzip the file.

3. In machine, where IT360 is running, copy the file 'librfc32.dll' to the'C:\WINDOWS\system32' directory. In addition, copy the files 'sapjcorfc.dll' and 'sapjco.jar' to the '/applications/working/lib' directory.

4. Verify the 'msvcr71.dll' and 'msvcp71.dll' files, existing in the Windows system directory. Please make sure that you add the dll files to the Windows system directory, only if they do not previously exist.

5. Restart IT360.

6. Now, Add Monitor(s).

Tip: If you face problem in adding SAP Monitor in Windows Vista, then it means that 'msvcr71.dll' and 'msvcp71.dll' files are not present in the Windows Vista machine. Simply copy those dlls from any other windows XP machine to the Vista machine ('c:\windows\system32').

Note: The above mentioned solution will work, only if IT360 runs on 32bit OS and SAP runs on 64bit OS.
